I took a train ride to Oregon in the Summer of 2023 to help a friend retrieve his RV from storage in Carson City, NV, as well as visit some close friends I hadn’t seen in way too long. Most of my visit was spent enjoying time with them, but I did manage to snap a few pics of the Eugene/Springfield area, as well as the amazing Oregon Central Coast.
In April 2012, The Simpsons Creator Matt Groening confirmed to Smithsonian magazine that he named the fictional Springfield after Springfield, Oregon.
